My News Grid(News Beat)
A ‘Beat System’ in Journalism or a ‘Beat’ was invented in the 19th century to aim and increase the efficiency rate of any journal work. It is referred to a specific path taken by a media practitioner to which they are given specific classifications of topics and journalists address news within those parameters of their given specifications.
This is a typical news grid that showcases news articles that are addressed according to their specific beats. For this particular requirement, i have made use on both online and physical materials (Via Press reader and hard copy newspapers) in order to create or find the desires articles for the beats that were given to us.
By doing this method, it helps students to create and understand more knowledge when creating, finding and finishing a news article in the long run. The beats that were classified for us were: POLICE, HEALTH, EDUCATION and ENVIRONMENT because these are the typical news standpoints where the state of the nation is laid out aside from the other beats like SPORTS and ENTERTAINMENT.
