My MIL Takeaways
One word: RESPONSIBLE. That’s what we need to be when on the internet because half of the time, its scary and unpredictable.
Now, i will be showing you my takeaways on how i understood Metadata literacy, looking beyond the frame and Ethics in Knowledge creation:
- Understanding Metadata Literacy
Metadata is generated through personal access on the internet through other information, thus information intelligence can be retrieved from what, who, where, when why and how you were engaging in such activity in the first place. The importance of metadata literacy educates us to be mindful and careful the next time we post salient information about our well-being or arguments. What’s important to know is that to be more knowledgeable and discerning in order to survive in today‘s metadata-laden world
2. Looking beyond the frame through your blog
In order to become competent and analytical in creating salient and comprehensive messages towards our field of interest. Developing our sensibilities through emotional, moral, cognitive and aesthetics when we bring out media messages to the world (in this case, a blog) we set forth strong MIL foundations and essentials in order to bring out the full capacity of knowledge within us. Utilizing core concepts, we are able to prepare, interpret and promote good analysis eliminating Ambiguity, Vagueness and Distortion
3. Ethics in Knowledge Creation
Knowledge creation is when we use our abilities to gain new concepts and get an edge in terms of competitiveness and having to dabble in ethics makes knowledge creation more meaningful and respectable in terms of being in the mass communication world. Ethical standpoints like Freedom of expression, Intellectual property and Exclusion of Plagiarism and fair use are all needed in order to become more intricate when we learn from others or create with others.
